Projects Developed Using HOME Funding
![]() |
Fredonia Development: Funding was provided in 2000 to a non-profit developer as interim financing for the construction of affordable housing to offset the interest on construction financing. Funding was converted upon completion of construction and sale to assistance to low and moderate income households purchasing the homes. The project developer took over completion of the planned unit development already consisting of two existing homes, and completed 19 single-family homes, and 11 duplexes. A total of 5 homebuyers received deferred downpayment assistance from Community Housing Initiatives of $5,000, with repayment due upon sale or transfer of title. This was a CHDO funded project.
